International Science-Fiction Festival in Nantes, France
Complete collection of Utopiales posters (2000-2018)
For nineteen years now, the international science-fiction festival Les Utopiales has been held in Nantes, the birthplace of Jules Verne. Building from the cultural heritage he inspired, the City of Nantes, in collaboration with the Nantes Interntational Convention Centre, have made the Utopiales part of the cultural landscape since the dawn of the 21st century.
With its high production values and its appeal to a wide audience, the festival showcases new technologies, highlights scientific advances, and makes the world of the imagination a voyage of discovery. The event aims to reinforce acquisition skills in science, art and culture, and accompanies the younger generation in its general education. It is a unique experience, and with more than 600 films, 1,900 invited authors, academics and graphic artists, not to mention some 170 art exhibitions and installations under its belt after 19 editions, Les Utopiales is an unmissable rendezvous for everyone interested in science-fiction from Europe or the other side of the Atlantic.
